Andria Racich

I'm an artist and interior designer living and working on Salt Spring Island, BC. I run Clover Design Studio, where I make handcrafted ceramic lamps, pleated shades, and design interiors that feel warm, layered, and genuinely lived-in.

I studied Interior Design and Art History at BCIT in Vancouver. My love for materials started early—shaped by childhood trips through Europe, where I fell in love with colour, texture, and the way a space can make you feel something before you even sit down.

Handcrafted Lamps

Each lamp is one-of-a-kind: hand-formed from speckled clay, paired with pleated shades and brass hardware. Made in my studio on Salt Spring Island.

The Process

Made by Hand

Every lamp begins as a lump of speckled stoneware clay on my workbench. I hand-form each base—pinching, shaping, and refining until the proportions feel right. No moulds, no production line. Each piece carries the subtle marks of being made by hand.

Once shaped, the bases are slowly dried, bisque-fired, glazed, and fired again. I pair each one with a hand-pleated cotton or linen shade and solid brass hardware. From raw clay to finished lamp, the process takes several weeks—and no two pieces come out quite the same.
